The FBI advised Frank to maintain a normal demeanor to avoid raising the suspect’s suspicions. However, Frank, resolute in his desire to safeguard Kathie and their infant daughter, reached out to Donald Trump. Kathie became emotional as she recounted Trump’s comforting assurance: “I’ve got your girls, don’t worry.”

The following day, Kathie was astonished when Trump personally organized a helicopter and a security detail for her protection. For several days, she received continuous security, remaining oblivious to the gravity of the threat until she read about the death threat in the newspaper on the morning of the pageant. Despite the peril, Kathie chose not to cancel her hosting responsibilities.
